In Belgium for a while

Dnešní cestovatelský příspěvek je více o fotkách než o povídání. Měla jsem další příležitost vyrazit na služební cestu, tentokrát do Belgie. Já z toho byla nadšená, má rodina kvůli bezpečnosti a všemu, co se teď ve světe děje, už o něco méně. Po příletu do Bruselu jsme hned vyrazili do Muzea surrealisty Reného Magritta a pak jsme si ještě prošli celou budovu Royal Museum of Fine Arts a její stálou sbírku. Těch krásných obrazů bylo tolik, že jsem z toho byla úplně vyčerpaná (možná tedy taky proto, že jsem vstávala ve 4h ráno..). Po krátké procházce centra jsme jeli do Gentu, kde jsme byli ubytovaní v krásném historickém hotelu se stylovým interiérem. Gent je moc příjemné město a připomnělo mi Holandsko - vodní kanály v centru města, nízké lodičky a úzké domy postavěné na vodě. V restauraci Naturell mě pak čekal úžasný kulinářský zážitek v podobě sedmi-chodového menu. Ochutnala jsem spoustu nových dobrot a užila si promyšlené servírování. Druhý den už byl čistě pracovní, ale oběd opět stál za to. Halifax je vyhlášená restaurace u řeky s krásnou zahrádkou. Lepší steak z tuňáka mít asi delší dobu nebudu :)

Today's traveler's post is more about pictures than talking. I had another opportunity to go on a business trip, this time to Belgium. I was excited, my family because of security and everything that is now happening in the world had a bit worries. After arriving in Brussels, we immediately went to the Museum of surrealist René Magritte and then we went through the entire building of Royal Museum of Fine Arts and its permanent collection. There were so many beautiful paintings so I was totally exhausted (ie maybe also because I got up in the early morning, 4 a.m.). After a short walk we drove to the city of Ghent where we stayed in a beautiful historic hotel with a stylish interior. Ghent is a really nice and it reminds me the Netherlands - the canals in the city center, low boats and narrow houses built on water. In the restaurant called Naturell then waited for me an amazing culinary experience of the seven-course menu. I tasted a lot of new goodies and enjoyed thoughtful serving. The next day was only about business, however, lunch was again great. Halifax is a famous restaurant by the river with a beautiful garden. I won´t probably eat a better tuna steak for long time :)
