Boyish Wardrobe

 

Možná už si ani neuvědomujeme, kolik jsme si toho z pánského šatníku přivlastnily a denně tyhle svršky nosíme jakoby se nechumelilo. Třeba taková samozřejmost jako jsou kalhoty, ty se staly součástí dámské výbavy až ve 20. století díky nekonformním kráskám Marlene Dietrich a Gretě Garbo. Jenže jen u kalhot to neskončilo. Dál jsme mužům ukradly košile, saka, klobouky, motýlky..Je zajímavé, že opačným směrem to moc nefunguje. Dnešní pánové asi ztěží začnou nosit sukně (i když se o to J.P. Gaultier před lety snažil). Pánský styl mě moc baví, o to víc, když ho můžu kombinovat s podpadky a šperky. K téhle kostkaté vestičce se vždycky ráda vracím, je to nadčasový kousek, který plánuju na jaře nosit s novými oxfordkami :)

Maybe we don´t realize how many pieces we took from a man's wardrobe and now we wear it without any doubts. For example such a common thing as pants, it became a part of women's outfit in the 20th century thanks to nonconformist beauties Marlene Dietrich and Greta Garbo. But it didn´t end only by pants. Then we stole from men shirts, jackets, hats, bow ties..It´s interesting that in the opposite direction it's not working. Today gentlemen probably hardly begin to wear skirts (even if J.P. Gaultier tried it some years ago). I really enjoy a boyfriend style and even  more when I can combine it with heels and jewelry. It´s always good to pull this vest from my wardrobe, it's a timeless piece which I plan to wear with the new oxford shoes in spring :)

LOVE as a Schoe

Krásné boty jsou asi pro každou z nás velká slabost a ty s vysokým podpadkem mají navíc magickou moc díky které si je kupujeme, ačkoliv chůze v nich bývá po několika hodinách nesnesitelná. Není tedy divu, že si chilský designér Sebastian Errazuriz vybral pro zhmotnění upomínky na své bývalé přítelkyně právě podobu originálních lodiček. Každá z 12 bot vystihuje povahu designérových lásek. Od kruté lamačky srdcí, ledové královny, po medově milou a mléčně nevinnou. Beautiful shoes are for each of us a great weakness and those with high heels also have magical power thanks to which we buy them, although walking in them is unbearable after a few hours. Therefore it´s not surprising that the Chilean designer Sebastian Errazuriz chose the form of original pumps for resembling his ex girlfriends. Each of the 12 shoes reflects the nature of designers´ loves. From the cruel heart-breakers, ice queen, to the honey-sweet and milky innocent one. Cropped Sweatshirt & Whole Heart

Trendy přicházejí a odcházejí, některé se tu mihnou na tři měsíce, jiné vydrží i celou dekádu. Většina z nich se pravidelně opakuje a investovat do nich má smyl. Co ale s těmi, u kterých máme pochyby, zda to není jen výtvor přepracovaného návrháře..? Například u mě to byl trend "ukaž pupík", ke kterému jsem ze začátku přistupovala dost odmítavě. Když jsem ale uviděla pár zdařilých outfitů, dostala jsem chuť ho také vyzkoušet. Pak už jen stačilo narazit na tuhle zkrácenou mikču za pár korun a otestovat ji na vlastní kůži. K mému překvapení jsem se s nestandartním střihem mikiny rychle sžila a nosím ji často. "Cropped" svršky se budou objevovat i v další sezóně, kombinované hlavně s kalhotami a sukněmi s vyšším pasem. Nebojte se tedy toho a zkuste něco nového ;)

Trends come and go, some flashes there for three months, while others can survive a decade. Most of them are repeated regularly and it´s worth it to invest in them. But what about those where we have serious doubts if it´s not just creation of  overworked designer..? For example, for me it was a trend "show your belly" to which I approached quite dismissive at the beginning. But when I saw a couple of inspiring outfits I wanted to try it out. Then I found the heart piece which I bought for a few bucks and I started testing it personally. To my surprise, I befriended with an unusual cut sweatshirt very quickly and I wear it often. "Cropped" uppers will appear in the next season as well, especially combined with pants and skirts with high waist. So don´t be afraid of it and try something new ;)

Quilted and Traditionally Printed

Letos to ta zima nějak nezvládá, nejen, že byly Vánoce na blátě, ale asi se nepoběží ani Jizerská padesátka. Takže si myslím, že by to rovnou mohla vzdát a nechat to na jaru :) Ať už to ale dopadne jakkoliv, tohle krásné sáčko užiju pod zimním kabátem, nebo při letních večerech. Zaujalo mě na první pohled, musela jsem si ale nějaký čas počkat než se ujistím, že má opravdu v mém šatníku místo (a než ho zlevní samozřejmě :D). Připomíná mi trochu české kroje, trochu potisk klasických cibuláků a trochu bundičku od Isabel Marant pro H&M.

The winter is somehow without power this year, not only that Christmas wasn´t white, but probably the famous Czech cross-country skiing race won´t take place because of lack of snow. So I think it would be right that the winter rather give up and leave it for the spring :) No matter what happens because this beautiful jacket I can wear under winter coat and also during summer evening. It caugth my attention at first sight, but I had to wait some time before I make sure that it really has a place in my closet (and of course I waited for sales :D). It reminds me a bit of Czech folk costumes, little print of classic porcelain and  little a jacket from Isabel Marant for H&M.

New Years Gown

Nový rok už je v plném proudu a já vám přeji, aby se vám dařilo tak dobře, že budete řešit jen příjemné starosti s módou, kulturou, cestováním a dobrým jídlem :) Dáváte si nějaká novoroční předsevzetí? Myslím si, že taková ta běžná typu zbavení se zlozvyků, méně cukru, více pohybu, jsou zbytečně stresující. Dávám si proto jen pár týkajících se oblékání:

• omezit nákup levnějších kousků v módních řětězcích a zaměřit se více na kvalitu než kvantitu
• podporovat tvorbu českých návrhářů a designérů
• více experimentovat
• nosit šaty nejen na zvláštní příležitosti, ale prostě jen tak..

The New Year is already in full swing and I wish you that everything was so succesfull that you will have only pleasant worries about fashion, culture, traveling and good food :) Do you have any New Year's resolutions? I think that one of those common type such as rid of bad habits, less sugar, more exercise, are unnecessarily stressful. Therefore, I have these about clothes:

• restrict the purchase of cheaper pieces in fashion chains and focus more on quality than quantity 
• support the creation of Czech designers
• experiment more 
• wear dress not only for special occasions but just everyday..
