J.P.Gaultier & New Blazer

Zkrátka nešlo odolat!! Spojení nestárnoucího návrháře J.P. Gaultiera a módního domu Lindex dopadlo na jedničku. Zajímavě se v této kolekci zkombinovaly extravagantní prvky Gauiltierovi tvorby (námořnické pruhy, výrazné potisky, sexy spodní prádlo) s elegancí švédského řetězce. Tento prodloužený blazer pro mě byl trefou do černého, prostě nadčasová klasika okořeněná zipem v pase. O to lepší, že zip není jen ozdobou, ale během vteřiny vytvoří z blazeru krátké sáčko. Nejvíc se mi líbí jeho delší varianta jen s úzkými kalhotami a obyčejným tričkem a naopak odepnuté sako skvěle doplní jakékoliv šaty (na fotky této kombinace se můžete těšit v některém z příštích příspěvků). Hezký podzim :)

I simply couldn´t resist!! The cooperation of ageless designer J.P. Gaultier with the fashion house Lindex has amazing result. This collection successfully combine extravagant elements of Gauiltier´s  work (navy stripes, bold prints, sexy underwear) with the elegance of the Swedish chain. This longer blazer was for me perfect piece, just timeless classic which is spiced with a zipper at the waist. All the better that the zipper isn´t just a decoration but within a second can change to a short jacket. I especially like the longer variation only with skinny jeans and simply T-shirt, unzipped topcoat is perfect with any dress (photos of this combination you can enjoy in some of my future posts). Have a nice autumn :)

Celebration of Design: Designblok ´14

Loňský ročník Designbloku mě nadchl, a proto jsem se vypravila i na ten letošní, který se nesl v hravé tématice. Během jednoho dne bylo nemožné stihnout návštěvu všech studií, zamířila jsem tedy do třech největších: Superstudio Evropa, Superstudio Hra a Openstudio. Když opomenu fakt, že ve studiu v bývalém hotelu Evropa se kvůli množství návštěvníků nedalo chvílemi pohnout, byla to opět překrásná podívaná!! Tak vysoká koncentrace originálních věcí se totiž celý rok jen tak nevidí. Tady je jen pár fotek a zlomek instalací. Chtěla bych ale zmínit úspěch instalace "černý pokoj" studentů FDU (ZČU), která vyhrála ve své kategorii cenu šéfredaktorů za Designblok. Výborným počinem bylo také znovuoživení legendární stavebnice Merkur, kterou využil student UMPRUM Michal Pražský k tématu své bakalářské práce a navrhl součástky k sestavení Ještědu a vily Tugendhat. Zajímavá byla i sekce časopisů zaměřujících se na bydlení a interiérový design. Mě mile překvapil online magazín Soffa (www.soffamag.com), který je příjemnou alternativou těm komerčnějším měsíčníkům. A raději už končím s výčtem, protože Designblok je lepší vidět a zažít, než si o něm číst..

I enjoyed the last year of Designblok a lot so I went this year again, this time with the main topic "game". It was impossible to catch visiting all the studios during one day, so I chose the three largest: Superstudio Europe, Superstudio Game and Openstudio. Excluding the fact that in a former hotel called Europe due to the number of visitors I couldn´t move sometimes, it was a beautiful experience again!! Such a high concentration of original things people can´t see the whole year. Here are just a few photos and a part of the installation. I would just like to mention the successful installation "black room" by students FDU from Pilsen (UWB) which won its category Editors Award of Designblok. A great work was also a revival of the legendary children´s construction set Merkur which one student Michal Pražský from UMPRUM used for his thesis and he designed components to build Ještěd and Villa Tugendhat. Another interesting sections were magazines focusing on housing and interior design. Pleasantly surprised me  the online magazine Soffa (www.soffamag.com) that is a good alternative to those more commercial issues. I would rather stop with listing because Designblok is better to see and experience than only read about it..

For a Warmer Fall

Ačkoliv bylo dnes krásné babí léto a kávu jsme si mohli vychutnat na zahrádce dokonce i v tílku, podzim se už nekompromisně hlásí o slovo. Naštěstí je tu pár věcí, které nás módní nadšence mohou zahřát. Zaprvé je to letos hodně výrazný trend svetrů a všech druhů pletenin, jsou úplně všude, na sukních i legínách. Sázkou na jistotu jsou chundelaté oversize svetry a kardigany. Zadruhé jsou to dvě spolupráce slavných módních návrhářů s oděvními řetězci. Minulou středu odstartoval prodej kolekce J.P. Gaultiera pro Lindex, která je přesně jako její autor - nadčasově stálá a zároveň extravagantní, s chutí nabourávat konvence. Já už mám vybráno a čekám na zásilku. A vy?? Ta další kooperace se týká, jak jinak než švédského H&M, které pro tentokrát oslovilo jednu z největších hvězd současnosti, Alexandera Wanga. Je mladý, mimořádně talentovaný a nám nezbývá než se těšit, co vytvoří pod cenově dostupnou značkou :)

Although today was a beautiful afternoon and we could enjoy coffee outside only wearing a top, autumn is already knocking on the door. Fortunately, there are a few things that can warm up us (fashion fans). First, it´s this very significant trend of all kinds of sweaters and knits which are everywhere, even on the skirts and leggings. Safe bet is fluffy oversize sweaters and cardigans. Second, there are two cooperations with famous fashion designers with clothing chains. Last Wednesday has started selling of a collection by J.P. Gaultier for Lindex which is exactly as its author - permanent and timeless and at the same time extravagant, with breaking the convention. I have already chosen a piece and now I´m waiting for a shipment. And you?? The other cooperation is traditionally connected with Swedish H&M which for this time approached one of the biggest stars of today, Alexander Wang. He´s young, extremely talented and we can only look forward to what he will create under the affordable brand :)
