DIY VHS Clutch Bag

Hned na úvod podotýkám, že inspiraci využít obal ze staré videokazety k výrobě kabelky, jsem objevila na blogu jedné Holanďanky. Trošku jsem si tento nápad poupravila podlé mého vkusu a dostupných komponentů a voilà jednoduchá kabelka je na světě!! Nejdříve jsem z obalu vytáhla papír s názvem filmu (v mém případě Labutí princezna od Disney :D ) Pak už jen stačilo do plastu kružítkem provrtat 3 dírky na zapínání (jednu na knoflík přivázaný silonem a další na upevnění kloboukové gumičky) a 2 dírky na provlečení kuličkového řetízku ze železířství, který jsem spojila uvnitř. Do kabelky se hravě vejde vše nezbytné..Vyrobíte si taky takovou?

Firstly I would like to note that the main inspiration to use old package of VHS for creating a clutch bag I found on a Dutch blog. I rearranged this idea a bit according my taste and available components and voilà simple bag is here!! I startet with pulling the paper out of the package with the name of the movie (in my case - Swan princess from Disney :D) Then I made 3 holes for fastening (one for a button tied by nylon and other for rubber bands) and 2 holes for threading a chain that I joined inside the bag. You can esily put in all necessities.. Are you going to make a similar one?

This Lively City

Plzeň se mi líbila hned od začátku, kdy jsem se tu ještě jako náctiletá začala rozkoukávat. Teď to tu ale žije ještě o něco víc!! Aby taky ne, když má být na rok 2015 Evropským městem kultury. Celé prázdniny tu probíhaly akce v rámci projektu Živá ulice a ať už jste zašli na koncerty, Plzeň Fashion Days či Festival polévek, rozhodně jste se nenudili. Minulý týden skončil festival Divadlo a tuto středu nás čeká Pop-up party Blink Excelent v bývalém kině Hvězda, ze kterého se stane na dvě noci klub a zahraje zde třeba N.O.H.A., ve čtvrtek se pak na stejném místě koná Silent Party. V pátek se uskuteční jubilejní 10. Pecha Kucha Night a místo je opět netradiční, tentokrát bývalé obchodní prostory OBI, bude to velkolepé :) K tomu všemu se ještě můžete na náměstí povozit na retro francouzském kolotoči Le Manège Carré Sénart.
Nechci tu být za kulturního zpravodaje, ale zkrátka mám radost, že se v Plzni pořád něco děje.

A ještě bych se ráda zmínila o téhle tašce, na kterou jsem narazila úplnou náhodou na jednom malém design marketu v Brně. Jedna moc milá paní tyhle kabelky vyrábí z  reklamních bannerů, které jsou po skončení dané akce odpadním materiálem. Tahle moje je například ušitá z banneru na Shakespearovské slavnosti. Je úžasně praktická a nejvíc mě na ní baví to, že je to skvělá forma recyklace.

I like Pilsen city right from the beginning when I was there as a teenager who began explore this place. Now it lives here even more!! Why couldn´t it..Pilsen is going to be European Capital of Culture for a year 2015. The whole summer many events took place here within the project "Živá ulice" (Lively Street) and whether you went to concerts, Pilsen Fashion Days or Festival of soups, you definitely didn´t get bored. Last week ended Festival Theatre and this Wednesday we can visit Pop-up party Blink Excelent in a former cinema called Star which becomes a club for two nights and electronic band N.O.H.A will play here, on Thursday will be prepared Silent Party at the same place. On Friday, 10th anniversary of Pecha Kucha Night will start its great program at (again) unusual place, this time in a former business premises of OBI hypermarket, it will be spectacular :) On top of that you can still ride on retro French carousel Manège Le Carré Sénart which is on the main square.
I don´t want to be as a culture newsletter but I'm just happy that in Pilsen always something going on.

And I would like to mention about this bag which I found by a chance on a small design market in Brno. One very nice lady makes this type of handbags of ads´ banners which are at the end of the events waste material. For example, this one is made of the banner with the event Shakespeare Theatre Festival. It´s very practical and the best thing is that it´s a great way how to recycle.

MB Prague Fashion Weekend & Check Czech Fashion Shake

Konečně jsem měla příležitost jet se podívat na pražský týden módy, který už se pomalu začíná podobat těm slavným v New Yorku, Paříži a Londýně. Ačkoliv jsem na žádné z přehlídek nebyla osobně a viděla některé jen ze záznamu (krásné byly například od značky LaFormela, Miro Sabo nebo Chatty), doprovodné akce jsem si užila maximálně. Například přednášku pořádanou organizací Czech fashion Council od Donalda Potarda, který stál u zrodu značky Jean Paul Gaultier, návštěvou FOX Gallery, kde probíhala instalace kolekce Moniky Drápalové ve spojení s Františkem Matouškem s názvem Spirit III. (musím zmínit, že prohlídka celé galerie byl skvělý zážitek nejen díky vystavovaným kouskům a samotnému prostoru, ale také díky výkladu spolumajitelky galerie). Pak už následovala party v La Gallery Novesta (Check Czech Fashion Shake), kde byla radost prozkoumávat oblečení od českých návrhářů, poslouchat skvělou muziku a pozorovat zajímavě oblečené návštěvníky. Daráček v podobě poukazu na kosmetické ošetření Éminence byl už jen třešničkou na dortu :) Od fotografa této akce jsem si tedy vypůjčila i tyto fotky. odkaz zde: checkczechfashion.cz

Finally, I had the opportunity to go to Mercedes Benz Prague Fashion Week, which is slowly beginning to resemble those famous in New York, Paris and London. Although I wasn´t at any fashion shows personally and I saw just some recods of them (beautiful were for example from a brand LaFormela, Miro Sabo and Chatty), I enjoyed special events the most. I started with a lecture organized by the Czech Fashion Council from Donald Potard who was at the birth of the brand Jean Paul Gaultier, then visiting the FOX Gallery where was an istallation of a collection by Monika Drápalová  in cooperation with an artist František Matoušek called Spirit III. (I have to mention that the entire gallery tour was a great experience not only because of the exhibited pieces and the space itself, but also because of the interpretation of gallery co-owner). Then followed the party in La Gallery Novesta (Check Czech Fashion Shake), which was a pleasure to explore a clothes by Czech designer, listen to great music and watch well dressed visitors. Plastic Collection No.1

Že jsem si hodně oblíbila plastovou pěnu, jste si už asi stačili všimnout. Stačí mi se podívat nebo se dotknout archu tohoto příjemného materiálu a hned mám nápady na nové doplňky. Tady si můžete prohlédnout menší kolekci, kterou jsem během posledních dvou týdnů vyrobila.

• černé a bílé pecky, na kterých se houpe plátek z průhledných desek "Something Invisible"
• šedé pecky geometrického tvaru "Skewed"
• šedé náušnice a náhrdelník, jehož základem je jednoduché kolečko "Folded Circle"

Probably you already noticed that I use this plastic foam quite often. Everytime when I see or touch the piece of this soft material suddenly I have new ideas of accessories.  Here you can have a look at small collection which I created in recent two weeks.

"Less is More"

Méně je více - tohoto hesla se držel architekt Mies van der Rohe i při projektování slavné vily Tugendhat a není vůbec od věci si to někdy připomenout také v oblékání.
Dostat se na prohlídku interiéru tohoto architektonického pokladu není vůbec snadné, ale po troše plánování i štěstí se nakonec zadařilo. Je těžké popsat, jak úžasný tento dům je a přiblížit vám jeho historii a detaily jeho existence je v jednom příspěvku nemožné (doporučuju si ale o této vile něco přečíst - budete učarováni). Fakt je ale ten, že je neuvěřitelné, jak moderně a funkčně působí dům z 30. let minulého století..Člověk si do takového prostředí, kde je minimum ozdob a dekorací, snad ani nemůže vzít nic jiného než jednoduché černé šaty a jako doplněk spojující styl se třicátými léty jsem zvolila vlastnoručně vyrobenou čelenku z francouzského závoje.

Less is more - this motto kept architect Mies van der Rohe also during designing the famous Villa Tugendhat in Brno (Czech Republic) and it´s good to remember this in a dressing as well. 
Get a tour of the interior of this architectural treasure isn´t easy but after a bit of planning and luck it finally succeeded. It's hard to describe how amazing this house is and to write about its history and details of its existence is impossible in one post (but I suggest you read something  about the villa - you will be quite impressed). However, it´s incredible how modern and functionally this hous is although it was built in thirties of the last century..I think that in this special environment where is the minimum ornaments and decorations, I could wear anything else than a simple black dress and to complement the style of thirties I chose self-made hair accessories of veil.

I Wear Knedlo Zelo Wear

Už dlouho se chystám napsat post o táborské značce Knedlo Zelo Wear a ještě delší dobu si chci od nich nechat potisknout tričko. Teď se podařilo obojí a dokonce jsem se i účastnila výrobního procesu. KZW, které je tvořeno designérským triem studentů (Jakub Novotný, Pavel Primas a Štěpán Klíma), je mi sympatické hned z několika důvodů..Zaprvé samotná technika potisků, které jsou ručně vytvořenými linoryty, zadruhé originální a vtipné motivy a za třetí fakt, že autory znám. Od prvotního nápadu začnout tisknout trika jen tak pro kamarády se KZW postupně stalo značkou, jejíž tvorbu teď běžně potkávám nejen v Táboře, ale i v Plzni a Praze. Že se kluci neustále zlepšují potvrzuje i jejich prezentace na pražském Visual Manualu. Další jejich vydařené nápady naleznete na fb: knedlozelowear nebo na webu: KZW.

I want to write a post about the brand Knedlo Zelo Wear (the name is connected with typical Czech meal) for quite a long time and even longer I wanted to print their design on some T-shirt. Finally, I did it both and I also could participate during the production process. KZW consists of designer trio of students (Jakub Novotný, Pavel Primas and Štěpán Klíma) and I like it for several reasons..Firstly because of the technique of printing that is actually manually created linocuts, secondly, original and funny motives and thirdly because of the fact that I know the authors. From the initial idea to start printing T-shirts just for friends managed KZW to be a brand whose designs I meet commonly on the streets of Tabor, Pilsen and also Prague. These guys are constantly improving their work that confirms their presentation at Visual Manual in Prague. Another portion of their ideas can be found on fb pages: knedlozelowear or websites: KZW.

Hammock and Reedition of the Skirt

Jsem městský člověk každým coulem, mnohem lépe se cítím mezi vysokými domy, výkladními skříněmi a přeplněnými ulicemi. Prázdniny jsou ale skvělou příležitostí nechat hukot města několik kilometrů za zády a vyrazit na venkov. Jakobych najednou zas byla ta malá holka, co sbírá vše jedlé, pak to zavařuje, hrabe se v pavučinách starým haraburdím, sem tam něco natře, poseče a večer usíná s hrnekm čaje z čerstvé meduňky. Zkrátka neuvěřitelný relax, během kterého se mi zase v hlavě sumírují nové nápady. Jako třeba přešít tuhle sukni, aby byla do pasu namísto na boky. Léta byla totiž složená na dně skříně, protože mě její střih omrzel. Zúžení sukni prospělo, už se v ní necítím jako selka a nosím jí moc ráda!!

I´m a city person in every way, I feel much better between buildings, shop windows and crowded streets. However, holidays are a great opportunity let a roar of the city several kilometers behind and go to the countryside. Once again as if I was the little girl who collects everything edible, then cooks it into small glasses, searches through the cobwebs in old rummage, paint sometimes something and falls asleep with a cup of tea with fresh lemon balm. In short, incredible relaxation during which new ideas start to show in my head. For example, resew this skirt to the waist cut instead of the hips cut. This piece was on the bottom of my wardrobe for the years because I was fed up with its ​​shape. I like this reedition much more, now it fits perfectly!!

Girly Camping

Když se teď proklikáte většinou českých i zahraničních módních blogů, uvidíte nejspíš jejich majitelky polehávající na pláži, v rozevlátých šatech na molu nebo v bikinách po kolena v moři. Možná i proto jsem se rozhodla postnout menší fotoreport z našeho holčičího kempování v Českém ráji. Na těchto našich tradičních výletech je nejlepší to, že děláme (i nosíme) to, co v běžném životě nikoliv. Kromě stanů a spacáků oprášíme i sportovní a trempskou garderobu. Obligatorní jsou pohodlné tenisky, velké batůžky, odrbané džínové kraťasy, tepláky a (ano) i pláštěnky!! K naší dámské jízdě pak samozřejmě patří hřešení v podobě smažených sýrů a buřtíku na ohni, spontání nápady (tetování ze žvýkačky? Proč ne?), průzkumné tůry (to, aby se zneutralizovaly ty prohřešky ve stravě) a povídání o všem možném až do rána..Zkrátka balzám na duši se super holkama v české přírodě :)

If you check most fashion blogs in these days (Czech and foreign as well) you will probably see owners of these blogs who are posing at the beach, sitting on a pier with airy dress or bathing in bikini in the sea. Maybe that's why I decided to post here small fotoreport of our girly camping in the countryside area called Czech Paradise. These trips are traditional for us and the best thing is that we do (and wear too) what in everyday life we don´t. In addition to tents and sleeping bags, we dust off sports and camping wardrobe. The obligatory are comfortable sneakers, large backpacks, tattered denim shorts, sweatpants and (YES) even raincoats!! Our ladies trip is also connected with sinning in food (in the form of fried cheese and sausages on the fire), spontaneous ideas (tattoo of chewing gum, why not?), long exploratory tours (to neutralize those sins in the diet) and talking about everything until morning..Simply, this is the balm for the soul, with my girls in the Czech countryside :)
